Young Forest: Downey, RF Downey Public School

Neighbourhoods developed within 5 to 20 years host younger city trees. The area adjacent to RF Downie Public School is a sample of Peterborough’s young urban forest. Some properties have large open areas—perfect places to plant new trees to enhance the biodiversity and benefits of trees in the city.

Trees in this area were inventoried mid September to October, 2008.
